Our Services

There are many types of woodworm beetle affecting different timbers in various conditions. All infestations can be treated. If you have had a survey done and are aware you have problems, or simply have a property that you care about and want to treat as a precaution, Teasel Timber Treatment can help. We will not baffle you with needless Latin names. Full site surveys can be arranged, please contact us for further details.

Dry and Wet Rot:

Timbers can, in adverse conditions, become infected by fungicidal attack.
If you become aware of any growth or decay, it is important that the affected areas are treated and the cause is determined. Both Dry and Wet Rot can cause considerable structural damage. As a matter of course, all of the timbers we treat for woodworm are also protected against fungal attack.

External Waterproofing:

As the driving wind and rain become a more regular occurrence, Teasel Timber Treatment are promoting the use of “Double Strength Water Repellent”. This chemical can be applied to bind any loose or porous surface (brick, stone, cladding, render, tiles etc.) and forms a breathable, water-repellent barrier to protect from moisture saturation. This treatment is suitable for buildings of any age. This product also solidifies dry pointing, which can also be very absorbent, leaving it vulnerable to the freeze/thaw cycle, creating further damage. This treatment has miraculous results when used in the correct environment.

At times, previously treated timbers need to be sandblasted to remove non absorbent coatings enough for the products to be absorbed. Teasel Timber treatment can also arrange for this process to be carried out.
